Living for Heaven

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
1 John 3:2-3

  • Jesus Calls Us as We Are

Only, as the LORD has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this manner let him walk.
1 Corinthians 7:17a

Live out your relationship with God where He has placed you.

  • Jesus Calls Us to Live in Light of Eternity

The end of all things is near. Therefore, be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever Amen.
1 Peter 4:7-11

  • Jesus Uses Us

But as for us, we will bless the LORD
From this time forth and forever.
Praise the LORD!
Psalm 115:18

God calls each one of us right where we are, and we don’t have to change our status. We don’t have to become somebody else to become more acceptable to Him. We are fully acceptable to Him in Christ. We don’t need to get divorced or circumcised or uncircumcised or quit our job to grow spiritually. Instead we can live for eternity. We can please Him right where we are, no matter our status in this life. He uses us in whatever context we’re in. It is His power and grace that we need, not some ethnic or social standing. May we live our lives well, depending on the grace of our King to help us obey Him in every area of our lives.
