God Holds Us

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

For you have need of endurance,

so that after you have done the will of God,

you may receive the promise.

Hebrews 10: 35-36

God Holds Us

  • Be Real in Prayer

. . . we can say what is truly on our mind when we pray to God. Believe it or not, he can take it. It isn’t like He doesn’t know what you’re thinking, or what you’re feeling. You’re not hiding it. So bring it out in prayer. Psalm 73 addresses how we pray. When we’re disgruntled with God, when we face temptation, we pray, and we tell God what it is.
God Holds Us morning sermon 7-31-22, Rev. Tim Rackley

  • Bring Your Grief to Him

Thus my heart was grieved,
And I was vexed in my mind.
I was so foolish and ignorant;
I was like a beast before You.
Psalm 73: 21-22

  • Enter the Sanctuary

“It isn’t until Asaph removes himself from the world and enters the sanctuary of God that his thinking is renewed, his relationship with God is renewed, his perspective on the world is renewed, his perception of the wicked is corrected and changed, and he sees God in His beauty and His faithfulness.”
God Holds Us morning sermon 7-31-22, Rev. Tim Rackley

  • There is No Other

Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.
My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73: 25-26

  • He is Our Refuge

As for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;
I will tell of all Your deeds.
Psalm 73: 28
