And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Thanks and Praise
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
1 Peter 1:3
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
I will rejoice in Jerusalem
and be glad in my people;
no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping
and the cry of distress.
If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
God gives us a renewed calling
And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.”
Pray for Help
Are we drinking from the sources of water, the refreshing springs that He gives us in this life? Do we treasure His word, His church, the means of grace? Are we drinking deeply from those streams of living water that Christ offers us?
morning sermon, Adam McKinney, June 18, 2023
Lord, You are our Shepherd, yet still we want. You promise rest, but we refuse to be still. You are our righteousness, but we look to our own works. You are with us, yet still we fear.
Father, forgive us! Help us to believe that your goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our life.
