. . since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.
Hebrews 12:28-29
Thy lovingkindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens,
Thy faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Psalm 36:5
And they are to stand every morning to thank and to praise the LORD, and likewise at evening.
1 Chronicles 23:20
In every thing give thinks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
I have a hard time believing I am loved and tend to think everyone hates me, but coming out of the battles I have fought, I have come to realize how many people are behind me. I realize people do enjoy being friends with me, my parents do love me . . . . I realize how important my relationship with Christ is and that if I put my identity in anything but Him, it will come crumbling down. I realize this church is here to help me and not to judge me. I realize I don’t have to harm myself to be forgiven because Christ has already taken every single sin I’ve done to the cross.

Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God;
Thy judgments are like a great deep, O LORD,
Thou preservest man and beast.
Psalm 36:6
You have today declared the LORD to be your God, and that you would walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments and His ordinances, and listen to His voice. And the LORD has today declared you to be His people, a treasured possession, as He promised you, and that you should keep all His commandments; and that He shall set you high above all nations which He has made, for praise, fame, and honor; and that you shall be a consecrated people to the LORD your God, as He has spoken.
Deuteronomy 26:17-19
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the first-born who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel. See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking.
Hebrews 12:22-25a
We all are on the journey of sanctification, and by looking back, we can be reminded that the ONE who has never let us fall, who has always provided for us, is the same ONE who currently knows where we are and cares for us and supports us. We can find peace through a deep trust and contentment in God. So much has happened, and God has shown Himself present through it all. . . . I am thankful for His presence and that He knows us. “And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

For with Thee is the fountain of life;
In Thy light we see light.
Psalm 36:9
Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:15-16
Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.
James 1:17
God has character, and His character will never change. Because of that, we have hope. He will always be faithful. He will always be righteous. He will always be wise. He will always be watching over us, protecting us. He will destroy our ungodly enemies in the end. As you consider God’s goodness to you and to your family this Thanksgiving, give thanks for who God is, and how you can trust Him, how you can take shelter in Him, and how you can know and serve Him.
