The Deliverance of God

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people
Luke 1:68

We are Dependent on God

Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you,
And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you.
For the LORD is a God of justice;
How blessed are all those who long for Him.
Isaiah 30:18

O God, restore us,
And cause Thy face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.
Psalm 80:3

And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High;
For you will go on before the LORD to prepare His ways;
To give to His people the knowledge of salvation
By the forgiveness of their sins,
Because of the tender mercy of our God,
With which the Sunrise from on high shall visit us,
To shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death,
To guide our feet into the way of peace.
Luke 1:76-79

We are Disciplined by God

O LORD God of hosts,
How long wilt Thou be angry with the prayer of Thy people?
Thou has fed them with the bread of tears,
And Thou hast made them to drink tears in large measure.
Psalm 80:4-5

O people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you. Although the LORD has given you bread of privation and water of oppression, He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. And your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
Isaiah 30:19-21

We are Defended by God

Let Thy hand be upon the man of Thy right hand,
Upon the son of man whom Thou didst make strong for Thyself.
Then we shall not turn back from Thee;
Revive us, and we will call upon Thy name.
O LORD God of hosts, restore us;
Cause Thy face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.
Psalm 80:17-19

O come, Thou Dayspring, from on high,
And cheer us by Thy drawing nigh;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
