Women’s Bible Study begins 9/10 or 9/11 with a study of the book of James.
We hope you will join us!
Second and Fourth Tuesday evening (7 p.m. at Jackie Rackley’s home) or Wednesday morning (9:30 a.m. at Evangel Pres). Childcare available on Wednesday mornings in the church nursery.
We’ll be studying James with the help of the Bible study approach from Jen Wilkin’s book Women of the Word (although you don’t need a copy of this book to participate). Digging directly into James, leaders Amy Edwards and Angie Harrod will teach you how to apply Jen Wilkin’s method of study.
Bring your Bible, a notebook or journal, and perhaps a Scripture Journal of the book of James (some will be available for $6 or you may purchase your own). We will also provide handouts of the text double-spaced and a study guide packet with steps for working through James. This is going to be a great year! Jump in with us and invite your friends. If you are new to Bible study, James is a great place to begin. It’s loaded with encouragement and instruction on how to put your faith into action.
Meet Your Leaders
Angie Harrod has one husband, two dogs, three sons, and plethora of coffee cups. She and Greg are journeying through the sometimes deep waters of adoption trauma with their brave sons and finding God’s comfort in the many opportunities to share invaluable resources and encouragement with others on the path.
Angie is a gray-hair rockin’, dark chocolate-loving, kickboxing workout junkie who finds refreshment in hearing the faith stories of other women, and a good SciFi movie.
Amy Edwards and her husband Howard have five kids, two off to college and three still at home. Amy loves to read, teach high school literature and history in a homeschool co-op, and loves her coffee with real cream. Amy serves on Evangel’s Women’s Ministry team as the Spiritual Growth Director and has taught Bible study at Evangel the last three years. If she isn’t home reading or studying something, she might be dancing in the kitchen with the kids.

Our Wednesday morning session has childcare. We are excited to introduce Victoria Johnson (left) and Katie Bennett (right). Victoria and Katie will be in the Evangel nursery area, ready to love and care for your children during Bible study. If you would have children for our childcare, please let us know.
